Gilani may not venture like Indira Gandhi who has declared Emergency after her disqualification by Alahabad High court... Pakistan Army is powerful...

Process for Gilani's successor has already started. His party also has respected Court's direction/decision. As Mr TVK says, Pak army is powerful and no politician wag his tail. so long Pak does not fall into taliban, there will not be much trouble for India.
 
What if the PPP political grouping sponsors Gilani again as PM after an election? Chowdhary will have to rack his brain as to how to handle that situation.

Well Chowdhary will invoke some obscure provision in the past laws to disqualify Gilani for PM by citing a clause which prohibits somebody who was cited for contempt by the court from holding office. It appears the choice is between a frying pan and a fire.

It is ironical that the Supreme court justice who was in domestic exile when Mushafar was in power is now flexing his muscle. it may not be long before another army coup will put all the elected and appointed (supreme court) officials in jail.

Actually it is waiting for instructions from BOTH the US AND the Taliban, the former for military support and the latter for religious/terror support. The latter is mainly to save their own skins alive.
 
Newspapers report that Pakistan is in deep crisis. They enjoy reporting like that. Pakistan was in crisis from August 14, 1947. It may have 1,000 more. Crisis is what that is keeping Pakistan alive and also the US Interests in the region. The problem is we also want to sustain our relations with that country which does not at all bode well for us. They do not need us nor do we need them. Then why this "Aman-ki-Asha" - only to help a few group of people on either side of the border including terrorists in their side and to their north.
 
Whenever there are political uncertainties that will bring Pakistan ranged against US, the army will withdraw to the background and allow civilian Govt. in Pak. They serve the limited purpose and recede to the background and army takes over again. This has been happening for long in that country. When the civilians are ruling, India talks with them endlessly. When army rules it talks to India. Army has to frequently flex its muscles to justify its existence. Some times it hurts India successfully by inflicting a Kargil and sometimes gets a severe drubbing from India like in Kashmir or B.Desh. The storyline is too familiar and is boring. Now it is time for civilians there to withdraw from the scene and it is time for Army to play hero.

Afghanistan is a different story-a pathetic one.
 
Pak Supreme Court Chief Judge Iftikhar Chaudhry is also in scandal. Now he is fighting to save his own name and job because he had tried to bend the rules to get his son 32 yearold Arsalan Iftikhar a job in the police in 2006. Zardari Govt. is after him. There will be a thamasha. Soon, we may find the Army controlling the country

I thought they are the puppeteer, You mean to say that they will come out in open. It will not be a surprise.

In that case, the court will disqualify all future nominees from the PPP party on the presumption they all will refuse to prosecute the president. Perhaps they won't have to prolong that drama. The army will say "Let the tanks move in"!
 
again latest, the Pak SC has asked the new PM to take action against Zardari. let us see the fun. what is happening in Pak; nobody can predict. one day they will say that they are relasing Surjit; after half an hour they will say not surjit, it is sarbajit. can they ever release anybody is anybody's guess. you see it is Pakisthan which means pure. I think. now they say that 26/11 Mumbai attach was an Indian plot. do you want to hear more. God, sorry Allah, bless them
