We live in an age of online video, where we can stream any TV Show or Movie from a multitude of streaming sites. That’s the dream anyway.
Currently, the online video market is a fragmented geo-locked nightmare. Many TV Shows are available on only one provider, and even Netflix, with its large library, does not have all the TV Shows you want. Furthermore, with exclusivity deals, you have to subscribe to multiple services to watch the Shows you want, and the clincher is that in most regions around the world, these services aren’t available due to location restrictions.
Now this is too much of a hassle, which forces people to go to the dark side and opt for torrenting. Now torrenting has been a process that many are intimidated by, but then launched Popcorn Time, a revolutionary open-source torrent client that truly changed the whole concept of torrenting. You could stream torrents with ease, which is why it was labelled the Netflix for videos.
It was closed down soon, due to legal complaints, but many copied its open-source code and created their own Popcorn Times. The most popular is a closed source one, and it is available on Windows, Android and Linux.

It wasn’t available on iOS devices, till now. The Popcorn Time team has found a way for iOS users to install apps outside the App Store without jailbreaking, and that’s the method you’ll use for installation.
The interface is similar to Netflix with a TV Poster-esque interface, and you just search, tap and play whatever you want.
What do you think? Is torrenting going to become even more popular? When will Apple strike down on this App?
