[h=1]Porsche is challenging Tesla with an electric car that goes 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds[/h]

Porsche is seriously in the mood to top the game in the field of electric cars. The company announced in a blog post that it will invest $1 billion to make the Mission E, an electric car that goes from Zero to 100km per hour(62mph) in 3.5 seconds.

According to the post, the car gets recharged 80% of its battery in 15 minutes and travels for 310 miles on 1 single charge.

Porsche's electric sports car Model SP90D beats the competition with Tesla in-terms of range.

Tesla car travels 286 miles on a single charge while Porsche does 310 miles. Porsche is ahead of Tesla interms of recharging battery too. Tesla takes up-to 30 minutes while the German car company only 15 minutes .

Battery will be build in the floor of the car, similar to Tesla's.

Dr. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Porsche Executive Board said, "We are resolutely taking on the challenge of electric mobility. Even with solely battery-powered sports cars, Porsche is remaining true to its philosophy and offering our customers the sportiest and technologically most sophisticated model in this market segment."

It is great, but is scheduled for 2020, and probably cost $135,000.00.
By that time Tesla would have surpassed them.
