Prayer for Victims of US School Shooting

Twenty children and six adults were killed in a shootout inside an elementary school in Connecticut, shocking the entire nation, which has experienced several such senseless shooting incidents in the last one year.

Washington-based Sikh Council on Religion and Education chairman, Rajwant Singh, appealed to all Sikh Gurdwara to hold candle light vigils and to offer prayers for the affected families this weekend.

Let us all pray for the victims, bleeding hearts of the parents.

It is very sad. My condolenses to the family.
Ironically the majority of mass shooting is in affluent white neighborhood in selected neighborhoods of USA. I am against assult Wepons, and would like to ban it or control it. But it may not be guns alone, there has to be some analysis of this deranged behaviour.

After the Binghamton shootings, Colin Goddard resolved that he had to get involved, to somehow try to stop the cycle. Reminders are lodged inside him: three bullets, a legacy of Virginia Tech.
He now works in Washington for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
"I refuse to believe this is something we have to accept as normal in this country," he said. "There has to be a way to change the culture of violence in our society."
