Master film maker. Rather tortured soul in personal life. He did give us wonderful films with beautiful songs.
 
again sorry if this hurts someone's sentiments,

but to me, any mention of pyaasa and GD, must come hand in hand with his not so private affair beginning with WR. that she handled it more classily than GD, and there have been rumours about the supposed reason for GD's suicide... and all that.

best to leave this mention cryptic :) but definitely i think, the passions shown in the movie, are not all acting and stage play. there is some realism to it.
