Race riots all across USA, Nationwide Protests from coast to coast – all over world media!

America is on fire after the ferguson decision not to file any charges on the police officer who shot a 18 yr old boy. Racism is so widespread, every minority – Blacks, Indians, Hispanics, Asians, etc.. are protesting all over the USA.. New York is in complete shutdown due to the protests.

Our PIO’s for sure are still dancing, tweeting & weaving fairy tale stories to the hapless Indians… LOL !! Nothing will change their opinion of their dreamland… which they went after for decades…LOL

PIOS – Tring, Tring, Are you there ? Are you there ? Come on, time for you all to weave your fantastic fairy tale stories…lol

The wise path is to accept differences in colour, race, language, choice abuses and cultural differences and find the four tools to face situations. Whites, like brahnins, will always face attacks by minorities, even when they are koocchi koocchi with africans, hypsonics, asians and yellow race. Even conversion to christianity or islam will not make all equal. Our dharma has the model and structure to give every racially, culturally, physically diverse people their breathing space, local freedom and non interference.Worth thinking about.

There have been a few posts lately with "Frog in the well".... "Frogs outside the well+..... "Frogs in a small pond"..... "Frogs in the big ocean".. analogies.

I have so far not come across any instance of frogs outside the well or frogs in the big pond or ocean having acquired any special techniques or superior evolution to deal with their predators, snakes mostly. So why do we call the frogs "in the well" as dumb or less enlightened?

This only shows the misbehavior of the African community and not the racism of the Whites, IMO.

The Police Officer only shot down the teen at midnight, and after the teen physically charged and assaulted the officer. What will I do if I were a police officer under similar circumstances? I would also, naturally, inclined to shoot. And that's what has happened.

There are certain places in USA called the downtown which are favorite spots for African community to get-together and since they are poor, they take to other venues for generating money such as selling pot, drugs, etc. Such regions tend to be racially tense naturally.

But not all places are like that. Mostly the suburbs and quiet and decent community for bringing up a family safely. There is no racial tension here.

If at all there is any country where I see lesser and lesser of racism, that is USA, here the racism is even lesser prevalent than in INDIA.

When one get out and acquire knowledge, they too can overcome their ignorance.

The idea of the frog not knowing outside of its well is to show the lack of knowledge of the individual to the wast information available.

Frog in the well may be having limited knowledge bur fairly safer. But a frog outside the well is definitely endangered because it can not resist croaking and betray its location thus endangering its own life.

I was told by a NRI who came on short leave from the USA, that it is always "you tell me the person, I will tell you the rule!" in US, the police especially. Even in this Jefferson case (is it not the name) this NRI told me that the police officer would have used his gun only as a last resort if the suspect had been a white youth, but when they see a black youngster, their attitude turns different. This young man said NRIs face the same risk of getting shot since skin colour differentiates even the fairest indian from the white american.

May be the white american policeman also wants "total surrender" at first glance!!

I fully agree that Race relations can be better in USA. It is also a fact that race relations have improved. There is more room to improve. I do not think it will disappear all together.
Just as Caste, state, or accent still divides us. Race division will also stay. The government tries to minimize the discrimination, and society is very conscious of being outwardly correct.

But for people in this forum, who do not have direct experience and are not capable of understanding the extent of "protests" in USA, I want you to read this article.
Panel examines police, race relations
In response to a question on racial profiling, Decatur police Lt. Shannon Gutierrez Seal said she thinks people get racial profiling and criminal profiling mixed up.

“If a crime was committed by a black male, obviously police officers are not going to be looking for an Asian female,” said Seal, a 17-year department member. “Officers are not trained to profile someone based on their race or gender.”

Seal said she hoped people would understand that officers are profiling criminals, not members of any race.

The forum, organized by Caring Black Men, a group that mentors at-risk youth, and the city of Decatur, attracted an audience of about 75 people Monday night to the Decatur Civic Center.

The discussion, which had the goal of improving communication between the community and law enforcement, was conducted in a congenial fashion. Some of the questions were pointed, but no anger or hostility was displayed throughout.

.......................................
That is how you motivate children to want to be police officers, said Hawthorne, who serves as a school resource officer.

Jesse Price, a Caring Black Man for the past five years and the only panel member who was not a law enforcement officer, showed how the term “racial profiling” is misused.

“I'm confused about that notion,” Price said.

As an example, he said his elderly father-in-law told him that when he saw a group of young black men approach him in a parking lot, he locked the door and hurriedly backed out.

“Is that racial profiling or is that something only police officers do?” Price asked.

Police Lt. Brad Sweeney said a huge problem for law enforcement is people withholding information, either out of fear of retaliation or not wanting to be labeled “a snitch.”

“I hope everyone sees us as regular people,” Sweeney said, adding he shops at the same stores and his children attend the same schools as other community members. “We are your neighbors. We hope there is more trust to give us more information. Information is so hard to get out of people.”

Are there "racist" police officers, YES? Are all police officers "racist" NO NO NO.

THEY HAVE DRAVIDIAN PARTIES POLITICAL SUPPORT.....here in USA....very lesser racism....its true...

JR – “misbehavior of the African community”??? – wow, yougot to be kidding me?? Are you racist ? I mean why would any community protestso vehemently, it is because of institutionalized racism against them.. this isnot about a specific case of Michael Brown.

are you saying the whole country is protesting to supportthe misbehavior of the African community ? or you are saying the whole countryis protesting against the African community ?. this is beyond fairy tale… lol

For some who just want to point fingers at others. Look in India.
The prejudices and discriminations, even institutionalized in Government jobs, school admission, and openly hostile housing sector.

Destructive relations:

Bihari migrant workers have been subject to a growing degree of xenophobia, racial discrimination, prejudice and violence. Biharis are often looked down upon and their accent ridiculed. In 2000 and 2003, anti-Bihari violence led to the deaths of up to 200 people and created 10,000 internal refugees.

There are significant bihari community in Northeast states like assam, manipur and nagaland. There has been a number of racial attacks against them, which includes a number of massacares. almost all of which has been carried out by the militant groups. this has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of bihari people and has internally displaced thousands.

Many north-easterners are called "chinky" by people in New Delhi, in reference to the appearance of their eyes, though it may not widely be applicable to Assam because of mixed demographics where an equally significant number of the population are "Indo-Aryan" and thus lack Mongoloid phenotypes.

During 8–10 November 2010, 21 Hindi, Bengali and Nepali speakers were killed by a faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Assam. In January 2014, five men from Bihar were killed and another three were injured after being pulled out from a bus and shot at.

People from other countries are treated differently by some Indian people based on the country they come from and Colour. Especially African people are affected more. African people coming to India for studies are affected. Some people are denied for accommodation and improperly treated.
Most Indians think racism exists only in the West and see themselves as victims. It's time they examined their own attitudes towards people from the country's North-East.
Let's stop pretending there's no racism in India - The Hindu

But time and again, various groups of people, particularly from the north-east have experienced forms of racial discrimination and highlighted the practice of racism in India. In fact, institutionalised racism has been as much on the rise as cases of everyday racism in society.

In a case of racial profiling, the University of Hyderabad chose to launch its 2011 “initiative” to curb drinking and drug use on campus by working with students from the north-east. In 2007, the Delhi Police decided to solve the problems of security faced by the north-easterners in Delhi, particularly women, by coming up with a booklet entitled Security Tips for North East Students asking north-eastern women not to wear “revealing dresses” and gave kitchen tips on preparing bamboo shoot, akhuni, and “other smelly dishes” without “creating ruckus in neighbourhood.”

At lest the US government does not discriminate. There is no quota system by race in USA. Anybody can buy any property anywhere in USA, unlike the rules in Gujarat and other parts of India, where property right is limited by religion. In Maharashtra there is specific directive by the government to Hire Marathi people.

My point is that discrimination exists all over the world, but that does not make it RIGHT.

You got to get your house in order before pointing fingers at others. Like TBSji says there are hurtful practices in Chennai, that is tolerated, at least in USA there is mechanism to rectify such overt discrimination. The protests will lead to an acceptable solution.
As Raj Kumar says in movie Waqt:
Those whose own houses made of glass ... do not throw stones at others

So why do we call the frogs "in the well" as dumb or less enlightened?

Nope...in my post I only said Frog in the Well...I did not indicate anywhere that being in the well means less enlightened or ignorant! CROAK!

Now since you brought this up..lets analyse about Frogs inside and outside the well.

1)Firstly both are frogs..some choose to stay inside the well becos they find it more secure and relatively safer.

2)Snakes might enter a well but it takes more effort to for the snake to enter a well.

3)Frogs outside the well might face a higher risk of other predators like owls that hunt at night.

4)When it rains..frogs get all croaky and start to croak to attract a mate..this sound will increase its risk to be eaten up by a predator.

5)Frog outside of the well might occasionally visit the well and hang around with its inside the well friends.

6)Inside the well frogs might hear all the outside world stories and might want to take a trip outside the well.

7)Now we call a frog inside the well and outside the well as long as the well exist.

8)When the well ceases to exists..there is neither inside nor outside..anymore.

9)Verily only the Frog remains.

10)Going by this analysis..its ekam advaitam maṇḍūkam

11)Therefore the frog is indeed enlightened!

No need to feel hurt or insulted. I am called iyere by a few, and I do reply with 'kallare' or 'chettiar' or by known jati name. Whether it is respectful, friendly or insulting depends on the situation. If one is proud of his status by birth, qualifications and innate worth, he need not worry about these. By the way, proud does not mean haughty. If we respect other jatis too and show our respect in word and deed, respect will be earned and reciprocated. I can proudly say that I have not faced serious discrimination in the past or now. Calling a brahmin, 'pappan' is not racial abuse, when not used as an abuse.

Translated from a Navbharat Times news report in Hindi into English by Atul Anand. The original Hindi text of the report follows the translation)
Bulandshahr (UP): Lala, a Dalit youth from Nagla Chona village in Gautam Buddhnagar, was hanged on Tuesday following the village panchayat's order. Inder, the father of the deceased, alleges that initially, the panchayat ordered that his son be beaten up, but later they turned it into a death sentence. Lala was hanged from a sheesham (Indian rosewood) tree. He was alleged to have an extramarital affair with an upper caste woman of Nagla Tota village in Bulandhshahr. The members of the panchayat and the woman's husband are absconding. The police is calling it a case of suicide.

Dalit-youth.jpg

Lala, son of Inder, fell in love with the woman and eloped with her six months ago to Dehradun. They stayed there for a while but later the woman returned to her husband. On Tuesday evening, Lala came to meet the woman in her village. It is alleged that the husband of the woman caught them and called for a meeting of 10-20 people. Allegedly, the panchayat first ordered that Lala be beaten up and then they decided that he should be hanged. Later the police, which was informed about the incident, took down Lala's body and sent it for post mortem.

Inder, the father of the deceased, stated before the police that the husband of the woman and his relatives have murdered his son because of their caste backgrounds. The police is calling it a case of suicide. Kotwali in-charge R P Singh says the woman, who had eloped with Lala, later returned to her husband and then the disheartened Lala committed suicide by hanging himself from the tree. However the relatives of the deceased have given a written complaint against the panchayat members and the husband.
