Rig veda sutras

Recently when i read lifco's nithayanushtanakramam, it is written that apasthamba and bodayana are the sutras for rig vedha whereas in another book titled " sandhayavandanam" released by sri thillaisthanam swamy kainkarya sabha it was written as asvalayana sutra and katyayana are the sutras for rig vedha . Can any one tell which is correct. And explain how to identify the sutras for rig vedha.

when I introduce, I utter: Abhivadaye Bhargave, Beedhahavya, Savedasa, Thrayarishya Pravranvita, Vadoola gotra,Apasthamba sutra, Yajursakha Adyayi,..........Sharma Nama Aham Asmaiboo:
As my ancestors are Yajurveda Adyayees, we also follow the Yadurveda Upakarmam (Avaniyavattam), so I strongly feel the sutra Apasthamba sutra is for Yajurveda
If the sutras are coded, before the division of veda in four parts by Veda Vyasa (Krishna Dwaipayana), the sutradar names will find place in all the four vedas and the followers using them.
I will also feel happy the position is clarified.

As far as I have learned, the sutra has nothing much to do with the veda that is learned by a family as their first veda. But lately some books have started giving (in a so-called learned manner!) that only certain sutras are possible under each veda. In this case, it could also be that the thillaisthanam book refers only about the 3000s or தில்லை மூவாயிரத்தோர் only.

In any case the family lineage is always to be followed and not the books.
