Dear all,

I saw in a post that sandhyavandanam should be performed along with bramayegzyam, And it states that bramayegzyam should be done atleast on holidays. Is it practical now a days? I doubt even if the sastrigals perform bramayegzyam these religious karma’s.
Parikarams: We do navagrahatharpanam in sandhyavandanam, they why pariharams are required separately? In one saying I heard regular doing of sandhyavandanam will be equivalent to any pariharams for ssnavagraha’s as we give argyam and navagraha tharpanam.
One of the reason is doing sandhyavandanam is to save punniyam for the next Jenma and doing pariharams is to washout the sins accumulated during the previous Jenjam.
What is the correct position?.

உலகம் காற்று, நீர், நெருப்பு, ஆகாயம் பூமி என்ற ஐந்து பூதங்களால் சிருஷ்டிக்கபட்டது. மனிதர்கள். தேவர்கள், மரம், செடி.கொடி, ஊர்வன, நீந்துவன, பரப்பன எல்லாமே இந்த ஐந்து பூதங்களால் ஆனதே, இந்த ஐந்து பூதங்களின் proportion கலவையில் தான் வித்தியாசம்.

இதனால் negative தன்மையும் சிறிது உண்டாகிறது, இந்த நெகடிவ் தன்மையை போக்கவே பிராமணர்கள் என்று ஒரு பிரிவு ஏற்படுத்தி இவர்கள் எப்போதும் வேதங்கள் சொல்லவேண்டும் . அதனால் இந்த நெகடிவ். குறைந்து கொண்டே இருக்கும். இதற்காக ஒரு டிபார்ட்மென்ட் ஏற்படுத்தி பிராமணர்கள் என பெயர் சூட்டினர்.

வேதம் கற்று முடிந்த பின் அரசனிடம் சென்று யாசிக்க வேண்டும். அரசன் ஆடு, மாடு, நன்செய், புன்செய் நிலங்கள். வேலை ஆட்கள் எல்லாம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். வேதம் கற்பது, வேதம் கற்பிப்பது யாகம், வேள்விகள் செய்வதே இவர்கள் வேலை. இவரிடம் வந்த வேலை ஆட்களுக்கும் சேர்த்து இந்த பிராமணர் ஸ்வர்க்க பதவி கிடைக்க வேண்டியதை செய்ய வேண்டும்.

வேத ரக்ஷணம் என்ற கடமையை பெற்றவர்கள் பிராமணர்கள்.அதை செய்து ஸாதுக்களாக சாந்தர்களாக வாழ்ந்து காட்ட வேண்டும்.ஓளவையாரும் ஓதாமல் ஒரு நாளும் இருக்க வேண்டாம் என்று தான் சொல்லி இருக்கிறார்..

எதற்கும் எதிர்ப்பு இருக்க வேண்டும். அப்போது தான் நம் குறை நிறை சரியாக வெளியாகும்.

ப்ரம்மாவிடம் வரம் பெற்று முப்பது கோடி அஸுரர்கள் ஸூரியனை ஹிம்சிக்கிறார்கள் .அதை நிவாரணம் செய்ய சூரியனுக்கு தேவர்கள். ரிஷிகள், பிராமணர்கள் தினந்தோறும் தீர்த்தத்தை காயத்ரி மந்திரத்தால் அபிமந்திரித்து

மும்முறை உயர விட அது வஜ்ராயுதமாக மாறி அந்த அஸுரர்களை தள்ளி விடுகிறது. ஸூர்யன் இல்லாமல் உலகில் ஒரு ஜீவ ராசியும் உயிருடன் இருக்க முடியாது. ஆதலால் இது நமக்கு தவிர்க்க கூடாத ஒரு கர்மா. .இந்த

அஸுர வதத்திற்காக தங்களை தாங்கள் ஸூர்யனை பார்த்து ப்ரதக்ஷிணம்
செய்து கொள்வதே ப்ராயஸ்சித்தம் என ச்ருதியிலே விதி வாக்யம் ஏற்பட்டு விட்டது.

ஸந்தியா வந்தனத்தில் நவ கிரஹ அர்க்கியமும் நமது கடமை அவர்களை ஆராதிப்பது.. முந்தய பிறவிகளில் செய்த பாபம் தீர பரிஹாரங்கள் தேவை தான்.

Manufacturing company ல் purchase department, accounts dept; sales dept; production dept; production control dept; inspection dept; R&D dept; hro dept. administration dept. னென பல டிபார்ட்மென்ட் இருக்கிறது. எல்லோரும் வேலை செய்தால் தான் கம்பெனிக்கு லாபம் வரும். சம்பளம், போனஸ் கிடைக்கும்.. அவரவர் வேலையை அவரவர்கள் சரியாக செய்ய வேண்டும்.

பர்சேஸ் டிபார்ட்மென்ட் ஆட்கள் சேல்ஸ் செய்ய வேண்டாம். . இதுபோல் விவசாயம் செய்பவர்கள் சந்தியாவந்தனம் செய்ய வேண்டாம் .இது போல் பிராமணர்கள் கடமை ஸந்த்யாவந்தனம், ஜபம், பூஜை, ஹோமம் , வேதம் ஓதுதல், வேதம் கற்பித்தல். கடமையை செய். பலனை எதிர்பார்க்காதே.

In one of the pravachanams, Mahans have said that one must make the mind to think properly, decide properly,
understand properly. There is no question of thinking about postponement of doing Sandhyavandhanam.
Sometimes, one may realise as to what is real and what is not real but confusion should not prevail. To the
extent possible, one has to try to use the available time. Sometimes, we spare times for those events, which
we desire to complete it. Isn't it. Hence, what is to be done, it all depends on one's interest. To a maximum
extent, one should not have any choice on this aspect. This is for you to ponder over please.

Pujya Shri Sringeri Jagadguru emphasized the importance of doing
in his Augraha Bhashanam on Sandhyavandhanam is given roughly from a
translation that appeared in one of the websites:

“People say they don’t have any time to do Sandhyavandhanam.
But they have time to watch TV, read newspaper and engage in gossip.
So to say that there is not enough time for Sandhyavandhanam is wrong".

• The Shastras prescribe two pakshas: Mukya Paksham and GowNa Paksham
• To do 1008 Gayatri Japam is Mukya Paksham. People used to do this for 3 kaalas in the olden days.
• If there is not sufficient time, then the Shastras prescribe GowNa Paksham of doing 108 Gayatri Japam.
• If there is further little time, then the Shastras prescribe doing at least 32 Gayatri Japam.
• But people usually ask for an alternative and a way to leave Sandhyavandhanam. For that, there is no other alternative.
• For a person who has had Upanayanam and Brahmopadesham (according to Shastras), he has to do Sandhyavandhanam till the end.
• If he says he can’t do or has no time to do, it will become a grave mistake.
• The reality is people don’t have the will to do Sandhyavandhanam and hence give various reasons.
• In Kannada, there is an old saying: “Where there is will, there is way.
• ” (Manasu irindal margam irukum)
• What one needs is real Shraddha to do Sandhyavandhanam and not other reasons.”
