Smartphone cameras opened the art of photography to basically everyone, and now, camera-equipped drones offer access to vertiginous new perspectives, from skyscrapers poking through clouds to vast fields laid out like a carpet.
On social media site Dronestagram, you can share those shots and see how others are exploring this new horizon in photography. The platform’s 2015 aerial photo competition, judged by National Geographic photographers and photo editors, collects the very best of user submissions.
