Hi All,

My poorveekam is Tirunelveli and belong to the Sikitha Gothram. I have been looking for information on my roots and apparently there is not much history available on the internet or even with the vadhyars of today.. Is there anyone from this gothra who can throw light on the ancestry and significance? Would love to hear from others too who can share their knowledge..

We know our gothran only through our parents, they know it from their forefathers.

So to find out the roots of your Gothram which is probably very rare, you have to find out more about it only through your grandparents; of course you would have attempted that before posting your query here.

your Vadhyar may not know more about it, but if you write to Kanchi Mutt, they may throw some information on it.
 
Though grandparents are long gone, I did try to collect a few details and I would like to know more ... It would really help to hear from someone of the same gothra as this is the best place to ask I believe.
