Another sunday after a week of life disruptions.
Water dispute between two southern states throwing life into disarray.
I ended up in bangalore on 13th sept one day after supreme court judgement.
There was a bandh call.
The taxi drive on empty roads around 10 am from airport to city -a good 48km via NH44- was fast[less than one
hour as against 90min normal and incident free though risky.I over paid the driver a couple of hundreds more for
risking his life for me.He was a local kannadiga.
All shops closed and life at a standstill for the day.
Now after 5days city has limped back to normal.
I strongly felt it was a crisis created by politicians of two southern states and supreme court.
Both had sufficient stored water until rains in tamilnadu expected shortly and this deficiency is a yearly event.
Supreme court should have left the issue to executive at the centre instead of intervention.
Now by whipping up emotions of common people, bangalore has become unsafe for tamils
My home state delhi is facing chikkangunya epidemic with AAP , BJP and congress politicking about it.
I do not know which is safer delhi or bangalore?
Hyderabad is no better with torrential rains with half the city under water. Chennai is no heavan either with token
cauvery strike and newwoodlands hotel where I normally stay getting attacked.I hope the bleak scenario improves
for the better in days to come
I thought I was better off outside the country where I was couple of weeks back.lol
