Thalaivasal Vijay’s daughter wins gold medal
Acclaimed actor Thalaivasal Vijay is one of the most demanded stars in both Tamil and Malayalam, as he is very much capable in portraying character roles with finesse. The actor is not in any of the shooting sets for the past one week, instead he is in Kerala to support his daughter who is participating in the National Games. The presence of her dad proved worthy, and as per latest updates, his daughter Jayaveena has won Gold Medal in swimming.
The 15 year old swimmer from Tamil Nadu had a gold medal under her belt last year too. In the Ranchi National Games, she won medal, and emerged as the youngest player to win a medal in National Games. This year, she participates in five individual items and two relays.
Jayaveena won the gold medal for 50 meters swimming which was conducted on yesterday. She took 34.43 seconds to finish the race. With her medal, Tamil Nadu has reached the 6th spot in the medal chart.
“Winning a gold medal in National Games was our ambition. For that I canceled shooting and stood with my daughter, and finally the hard work is rewarded” said Thalaivasal Vijay. The actor added that now they will be aiming International medals for the country.
When asked about her favorite swimmer, Jayaveena replied that it is Micheal Phelps who won 22 medals in Olympics which includes 18 Gold medals.
