The heading may be misleading but this about a school drop out from a poor background. He has taken interest in an unusual but an important health issue. Despite his lack of formal education he gives a decent lecture in English on the sensitive subject of sanitary napkins. His dedication to the cause is amazing and left me wondering whether he will become another G.D. Naidu. Here is the link to his lecture.

Great guy with a good sense of humour! Watch how he expresses the separation of his wife and mother!

When the world runs after money, he wants to create employment for the downtrodden women in India!

Truly a great person and extremely intelligent too.

The best part is he has human values and not thinking of monetary gain.

May he always be happy in life.

hi

Amazing talk ... Honest, 'from the heart' talk.....something to loose to achieve something...he lost wife/mother to achieve this....

a coimbatorian mind.....a kovai man vaasanai.....

Thanks for sharing this link.

Amazing story - this fellow is a natural leader.

More than being innovative he seems to be very mature in his world view.

Just a thought! This man being so intelligent why was he thinking of using blood for his experiment?

Why not make some coloured liquid of the same density?

medical college gals....see the experiment evalution......

Since the napkins are costly, he might have preferred to get used ones form girls.

Surely he is a brave man too! :thumb:

Dear RR ji,

The cost factor..to make a colored liquid with same density costs more.

I do not mean to detract anyone's attention from OP, but for those who do not already know, there is an excellent program called "ஆயுதம் செய்வோம்" in "புதிய தலைமுறை" TV which brings forth to the viewers technical innovations happening in TN, similar to the one discussed in OP.

Please refer to some videos available at: VOD - Puthiyathalaimurai Tv - videos

I find some of the innovations truly ingenious and most of these come from people who do not appear to have the best academic qualifications; shows the real worth of practical knowledge.

Despite all the negativity resulting from a dysfunctional indian polity, I feel the future of our country will be bright if we can tap into the enormous human resources available in our country.
