CONTD...

I have come across an article on Soya, which is produced below:

Hailed as one of the world's healthiest foods, soya is power packed with protein and other essential nutrients.

One of the star features of soya is its ability to provide for a wholesome alternative to animal proteins. In a vegetarian's world, soya is looked upon as a wonder bean.

What Makes it So Super

  • Soya is low in fat with zero cholesterol and is an excellent source of fibre which makes it easy to digest.

  • It contains essential omega-3 fats which assist in maintaining a healthy heart. Omega-3 fatty acids are also vital in slowing down ageing, combating risks of cancer, dementia, Alzheimer's and diabetes.

  • It provides our bodies with all the essential elements and minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, protein and selenium.

  • Soya is rich in isoflavones which aid in reducing risk of various cancers, heart disease and osteoporosis.

Soybean is the only vegetarian food that is a complete protein which means that it contains all eight essential amino acids.

Males should go slow with soya becos soya is a phytoestrogenic plant..so there is some inconclusive studies that its might have an effect on decreasing testosterone in the body.

The results of the studies varied and some males had decreased levels of testosterone..some males had no changes but male lab rats had increased testosterone.

So whatever it is..moderate consumption of soya bean is always a better option....After all the races that consume soya ever so often are not known for their sexual prowess.

Research Results Vary

Neither soy protein nor soy isoflavones had any effect on testosterone levels in adult men who consumed soy foods or products, reports an August 2010 article published in “Fertility and Sterility.”

This article was a meta-analysis, which is a review of many studies on one subject. Since that time, however, two research studies have produced different findings.

Men who performed heavy resistance exercises after supplementation with soy protein for 14 days developed decreased serum testosterone, according to a 2013 article published in the “Journal of the American College of Nutrition.”

Another article reported that when male rats were exposed to soy isoflavones in the first three weeks of life, testosterone production increased, according to findings in the February 2014 article in “Biology of Reproduction.”
