Most of us have more than one internet-connected device at home, and through these devices, we consume data. We consume data online, we consume data offline, we consume data everywhere.

We are producing more and more data day by day, and in fact that amount of data produced in the last decade surpasses the amount of data produced by man in the last few thousand years.

Of course, with so much data being used, we need bigger and better storage solutions. Every part of the storage ecosystem should be upgraded in order to have more storage.

The key is to pack storage in smaller and smaller spaces. Sandisk has been following this smaller but bigger philosophy for its products. It earlier unveiled a whopping 200 GB microSD Card.

Now it is stepping in to solve storage problems for laptops, and is unveiling the world’s smallest 128 GB Flash Drive. In fact, it is smaller than a dime, and it is really a miracle how Sandisk has managed to pack in so much storage into so little space, most of which is occupied by the USB 3.0 Connector itself. It is a true feat of engineering.

Now you may be wondering what exactly is the benefit of such small pendrives. Well, due to these pendrives being so small, they can be plugged in permanently, thus proving to be a solution for your storage woes.

Other pendrives are bigger, and often stick out, leading to them being unusable for permanent storage.

It is selling for $119, which may seem expensive, but we think it is justified considering that it packs so much storage into so little space.

What do you think? Are we reaching storage density limits?
