Two years of Modi government full of ‘hollow promises’: Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi

On the completion of two year's of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, the Congress on Saturday claimed that the Modi government was full of "hollow promises" and "only repackaging the UPA schemes to project them as their own achievements''. Addressing media persons in Ahmedabad, Congress leader and Senior Supreme Court Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that during 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Modi had promised to create two crore jobs annually and fix the Minimum Support Price (MSP) by adding 50 profit on it to benefit the farmers but all this proved to be "hollow promises'' as BJP government generated only 1.36 lakh jobs in two years of its rule and "went back on its promise to raise MSP by adding 50 per cent profit on it''. Based on 12 points, it is a critical assessment of two years of Modi's rule.
