The Trail itself is a punishment in disguise.

But living on candy/ water/ milk for 12+ hours everyday,
for three continuous days and remain perfectly silent???

WHY push (punish?) these old people in this manner ?
Maybe to make them less alert, more tired and unwilling to argue???
