செல்வாக்கு
சென்று கொண்டே இருப்பதாலே அது
செல்வம் என்று பெயர் பெற்றதோ?
உருண்டு ஓடுவதால் நாணயங்கள்
உருண்டையாக என்றும் உள்ளனவோ?
பறந்து போவதால் தான் பணம்
பறக்கும் காகிதம் ஆயிற்றோ?
விடை இல்லாத இவைகளை
விடுகதைகள் எனக் கூறலாமா?
உருண்டு சென்றாலும் பறந்து சென்றாலும்,
உலகில் மதிப்பு சேர்ப்பது இதுவே.
பணம் இருந்தால் எல்லாம் உண்டு;
பணம் இல்லாவிட்டால் ஏதும் இல்லை.
மதிப்பு இல்லாதவர்களுக்கும் நல்ல,
மதிப்பு சேர்க்கும் இந்தச் செல்வம்.
மதிக்க வல்லவரானாலும் ஒருவர் தன்,
மதிப்பை இழப்பார் செல்வம் இன்றேல்.
செல்வந்தருக்கு பெரிய சுற்றம் இருக்கும்,
செல்வம் இல்லையேல் எவரும் இல்லை.
உலகின் ஆதாரம் இந்தப் பொருளே,
உலகில் பொருளாதாரம் என்பது இதுவே.
பாம்பு என்றால் படையும் நடுங்குமோ?
பாம்புக்கு படை அஞ்சாதோ அறியோம்!
பணம் என்றால் இறந்த மனிதனின்,
பிணம் கூட வாய் திறப்பது உறுதி!
பாதாளம் வரை பாய வல்ல இந்தப்
பணம் கொடிய பகைவரை அழிக்கும்,
நண்பர் எண்ணிக்கையைப் பெருக்கும்,
நன்மைகளை நம் வசப் படுத்தும்.
செல்வம் உள்ளவர்களின் வாக்கே,
செல்வாக்கு என்று அழைக்கப்படும்.
செல்வம் இருந்தால் செல்லும் நம் வாக்கு,
செல்வம் இன்றேல் செல்லாது நம் வாக்கு!

WEALTH AND ITS INFLUENCE.
Is a coin circular in shape so that it can run away from its owner very fast?
Is the money made of paper so that it can fly away form its owner as easily as a paper does? Whether money runs or flies, it is the only thing that adds value to everyone in the whole world.
A person who has money has everything. A person without money has nothing – even if he has all the other virtues. An unworthy man is rendered respectable by his solid bank balance. A worthy person is treated like dirt if he does not have any money.
A rich man never lacks friends or relatives. But everyone deserts a poor man like the rats deserting a falling house.
Money may or may not be the root of all evil in the world, but it certainly is
the foundation of all economics. It adds value to the words uttered by a man and makes him very influential .
So amassing a great wealth, commanding general respect and having profound influence always go hand in hand.
