It is ONLY the good merits we have earned during this birth and

 the KNOWLEDGE we have gathered during this birth 

that decide our next birth  and accompany us to our  next birth.


Not the bank balance we have managed to build up... 

not the palatial house we have managed to build...

not the silver, gold and diamonds we have hoarded...

 not the silks and brocades we have collected. 


These are the results of the good merits of our earlier births. 

If this should continue we must also continue to earn good merits in this birth!
