When Mahatma Gandhi went on a hunger strike, the British government shivered in sheer fear!


For them a dead Gandhi would be more dangerous than a live Gandhi. They were keen to keep him alive for the control he had over the masses at that time.


Today the hunger strike has been reduced to the level of an entertainment. The clever fast between breakfast and lunch (as we all do everyday!)


The tenacious people may starve themselves to death but the concerned people are turning a deaf ear and cold shoulder. 


Were not the Britishers more sensitive than our own leaders?
