A proverb a day to brighten the day.

257a. Bieten Sie an, das Kalb zu tragen, und Sie finden die Kuh und das Kalb auf Ihren Schultern

257b. Offer to carry the calf and you will find the cow and the calf on your shoulders.

The world loves fools and willing slaves.
And there is no shortage of such persons.

Offer to do a small help and you will be squeezed out of
your time/ talent/ money/ energy/ resources.

The standard tactics is to complain about the want of
time/ talent/ money/ energy/ resources.

Out of love if you commit to do something to help,
then it will become YOUR job for the rest of your life.
