A proverb a day to brighten the day.

266a. Völlerei tötet mehr Menschen als die Kriege.
266b. Gluttony kills more people than the wars.

Wars were few and far between.
War is not a normal condition but an abnormal one.

Gluttony on the other hand has been normalized by many people....
just because they can afford the food or have the time and peace to enjoy it.

Such people are literally digging their own graves with their spoons and forks.
Such people invite all the killer diseases to invade their body through the stomach.
