305a. Bellende Hunde beißen nicht.

[ Ich weiß nicht, ob die bellenden Hunde diese Regel kennen].


305b. Barking dogs seldom bite.

[ I know not whether the barking dogs know this rule].


Barking dogs seldom bite!

Do all  the dogs know this rule?


What if they know the rule very well and still want to disobey it -

just for the fun of springing a surprise on the unsuspecting victim?
