A proverb a day to brighten the day.


306a. Schau nicht auf das begabte Pferd in seinem Maul.

306b. Don't look at the gifted horse in its mouth.


Gifts are of many different types;


Some are recycled - to save money or space or both;

Some get passed on - since the owner does not like it or need it;


Some are given to suit the position of the giver;

Some others are given to suit the position of the receiver.


A gift is gift - whatever may be the background story.

One must honor the gift - just as one must give a honorable gift.
