Wear a  pair of X '' stiletto and steal a ride in a shopping cart?

There is a saying "Never compromise on the comfort of your shoes and your bed!" :)

Whenever we are not one of these, we are on the other one ! Right?

I fail to understand the women (even older ones) preferring to wear high heels and stilettos.

The reasons given are...

1. It adds to your height instantly

2. It adds a swing to your waist and your gait.

3. It gives an attractive  curve to the backside.

4. It is fashionable and welcomes courting from men!

The women know all discomforts caused by these shoes and still continue to wear them.

I was amused to see a women wearing a stiletto stealing a ride on a shopping cart.

NOW all the reasons given above by the ladies for wearing high heels do not hold water!  :)

Types of high heels worn by women.

 • Stacked heel – usually layers of leather 5 mm thick stacked together and trimmed to match the shape of the heel.[1] These are commonly known as block heels.
 • Continental heel – 7.5 mm, with the upper part of the chest of the heel spreading towards the center of the shoe.[1]
 • Setback heel – similar to the continental heel, but the surface of the back of the heel is straight, forming a right angle.[1]
 • Cuban heel – similar to the continental heel, but not curved, generally medium height[1]
 • Pantaloon heel – "similar to pantaloon pants: the top lift part of the heel is spread out as it extends to the bottom part of the heel, and the waistline of the heel curves inward naturally."[1]
 • Angle heel – "the surface of the base of the heel is straight until reaching the waistline, and it looks like the shape of the Korean letter ¬"[1]
 • Pinet heel – straight and skinny[11]
 • Cromwell shoe – based on Oliver Cromwell with heel up to 170 mm (6.5 in).[11]
 • Bar style – had jewelry or other decorative aspects to go along with flapper culture.[11]
 • New Look in 1947 – a slim, elegant heel, newly created by putting steel in the heel. This enabled the heel to be skinny without snapping.[11]
 • Annabelle – 7-cm platform heel[17]
 • Stiletto – tall, skinny heel; first mentioned in a newspaper in September 1953.[11]
 • Wedges - popularized by Salvatore Ferragamo, who introduced this in the Italian market in the late 1930s.
