A proverb a day to brighten the day!

540a. Wenn die Katze weggeht, kommen die Mäuse heraus und spielen

540b. When the cat goes away the mice come out and play.

Sounds very uninteresting right?

Replace the word 'cat' with a husband (or a wife).

Replace the word 'mice' with a wife (or a husband).

Now apply them in the above sentence.

Viola! It has become so much more real-life-like now!

A happy husband:

One who behaves exactly in the same manner whether ot not his wife is around

A happy wife:

One who behaves exactly in the same manner whether or not her husband is around.

Happy children"

Those who behave exactly in the same manner whether or not their parent are around!

footnotes:

Wenn = When

die = the

Katze = cat

weg geht = goes away

die Mäuse = the mice

kommen = come

heraus = out

und = and

spielen = play.

P.S

Once my husband's classmate (80 + ) visited us in out flat in Coimbatore.

Hie wife (70 + ) was trying to find his whereabouts from chennai.

She kept asking him where he was and he kept saying," I am outside the hotel".

I understood the power of the spouse who has mastered the art of remote monitoring!

(How about Fixing chips on the dome of the dear husband and locating him by a GPS?)

(May become a reality in the near future!)
