Something ...Something.

The old lady was putting in her bag a giant sized goggles.

The sales girl noticed it and came over to the old lady.

When asked about the goggles the old woman said,

"I came here to pay for it but had put it inside my bag instead.

You see, I am very old and my memory is not very good anymore!"

That aroused the curiosity of the sales girl.

She started taking all the things from the bag.

There was a beautiful skirt and its matching blouse.

There was a wrist watch and also a handkerchief.

The sales girl said, "I am going to call the police now!"

The old lady said piteously, "It is my one weakness.

I don't even know that I am stealing things!

Please let me go! I am old enough to be your grandma!"

The sale girl took back all the contents of the bag

and emptied it before letting the woman go.

The manager of the store came running to the sales girl.

He asked her roughly, "Why did you let the woman go?"

The sales girl replied proudly for having acted so smart,

"I have got back all the stuff she tried to steal from our shop."

The manager was still very angry and said

"You have let her go off with a bag worth 300$!!!"

Something small acts as a cover up for something else - big and costly!

The obvious action is performed merely to conceal the ulterior motive.
