Something...Something!

When the maid offered to take out the trash the lady in the house became so happy.
Usually the maids refuse to take out the trash and the householder has to do it.

Then things started vanishing from the house one after another - but the lady never noticed it. She was so full of herself, so very lazy and so very disorganised.

No wonder she never missed anything. She used to get food from the caterer and the only thing she would have missed would be her tiffin carrier or her plate.

One fine day the jewels disappeared miraculously.

Now the lady woke up and took the maid to task.
The maid said that she was innocent of this crime.

The jewels were not found on her person nor in her house.
She was removed from the job but the jewels were lost forever.

The maid had been smuggling things along with the trash over a period of time.
Since the lady was lazy and not alert she became emboldened to take the jewels.

Something is offered as a special service - to conceal something else being done.
