Tirupathi Venkatachalapathy

A few months ago, there was a very rare photo/video of Tirupathi Venkatachalapathy, taken during the '50s. I have somehow managed to lose it. I will be very grateful and honoured if some one who has that photo/video be kind enough to re-send this. I will treasure it and promise that I will not lose it again.

Thanks and Regards,
apsarathy

This 50 year old video is the most fascinating one with the nijaroopa dharshan of Lord Balaji.

50 Year Old Video Footage of Tirupati Venkateswara Balaji

The note says:

''Rare video footage recorded by the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam 50 years ago as a promotional video for the

Tirupati Balaji temple. You can see the abhishekam of the moola vigraha without any ornamentation, followed by

the deity in full gold and diamond dress. This is the only authentic video of Tirupati Balaji ever recorded.''

Thanks, that was a great video Madam. The nijaroopoa darsanam was heavenly.

There was also another video where Gantasala was singing. Will someone have it by any chance?

Madam, in the one I was referring to, Gantasala can be seen singing. That video lasted for only a few of minutes and was completely black and white. One of our forum members ( I think it was a lady) circulated that video and subsequently for unknown reasons, it was taken off circulation. I somehow can't trace it in the Archives section. It was there on You Tube also and now it is no longer there. The one sent by you is equally good. I have already stored it safely.

Very interesting and informative blog, Saidevo Sir. Thanks for posting it here.

The verse

"தாழ்சடையும் நீண்முடியும் ஒண்மழுவும் சக்கரமும்,

சூழரவும் பொன்னாணும் தோன்றுமால் - சூழும்

திரண்டருவி பாயும் திருமலைமேல் எந்தைக்கு,

இரண்டுருவு மொன்றாய் இசைந்து."

is added to one of Annamayya songs which goes

'Entha maathramuna evvaru thalachina

Antha maathrame neevu

Antharaantharamu lenchi chooda

Endanthe ippati annatlu'

which means
"
Oh Lord! Your devotees visualize You in many ways. They want to see You in different forms and ways.

However, the deeper one’s heart envisions You, the more shallower is Your grace felt!"
