Top 15 cleanest cities in India

Mysore was a princely state Very broad roads, a pleasure to go on a visit to see palace/ brinidavan gardens etc . New Delhi is a the capital of India & was a planned City.Besides, all cantonment areas in the country are more or less clean, because military areas are involved. To speak about Madras , now Chennai, it is fruitless because Govt after Govt never completed any good schemes for the convenience of the public. A round of the city would show that places & corners of streets would be filled with trash & literally smell SHIT. the so-called authorities are only to be blamed. No one can refute , let alone supporting?

I have visited these cities just very recently; Somehow I am not in agreement with the report for Sl.no. 13, 6, 5, and 4. Certainly they would have taken lot of criteria for the same. I will consider the most dirtiest city is Kolkata not because I am there now. But suddenly the Kolkata airport (Recently shifted to new airport) has become so excellent like Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai airports.

Talking of clean cities here is an interesting report and a video to portray one aspect of cleanliness:

New Delhi has a new anonymous activist group. They drive a huge water tanker. Like Batman, they roam the streets and attack when it is least expected. They wear masks and wield water hoses.

When the problem is public urination, the solution is the pissing tanker. Their motto : You Stop, We Stop. Watch the video to see them in action:

hi
i used to be in chandigarh.....very nice and well planned city in india....i think pondichery too deserve it...i served in delhi

cantonment area....its due to army area... nice roads with greenery....pollution free too..

I think Chandigarh, New Delhi areas are fabulous on account of the well laid out roads, nice gardens and overall cleanliness..In Chandigarh where I lived in the 90's, cattle was not allowed on roads & there was a big fine..Littering in Chandigarh can land you in jail
