Trains and Sea always fascinate most people; When i was young i was awe struck seeing Thiruvothiyur Sea; In those days, it was a very calm place,( 1950 s ) and we used to play in the sand over there; Now the beauty of that place is spoiled by the construction of Roads.

When I was Studying in a School in Korukkupet , we used to travel from Thiruvathiyur to Korukkupet by Train; Big Mottai Engines used to pull Grand Truck Express and occasionally for want of signal it used to stop at that station; Women used to collect Hot water from the Engine Pipes in those days.
