[h=1]Turn any watch into a Smartwatch with the Chronos[/h] November 8, 2015 Kishore Ganesh Leave a comment
Wearables are slowly becoming more popular, and are evolving beyond their original, bland designs, and are now moving towards more stylish wearables that essentially don’t look like wearables. Although wearables certainly do look much better than older wearables, there is still something to be said about wearing a traditional watch.
Many spend hundreds, even thousands on a quality watch, and parting with these watches for a wearable doesn’t make much sense. However, if you want to make your watch a little more smarter, Chronos is a disc-shaped device that attaches to the bottom of watches and makes them smarter.
ssentially, it can vibrate and blink in various colors to notifications, and can even perform basic fitness tracking. There is no display on it, but you can see the data it tracks through the accompanying smartphone app. It is from this app that you change settings and set your preferences.
There is some possibility of controlling your smartphone with the Chronos, and this possibility is very basic and rudimentary. Essentially, you can do simply things like changing your song, and you can’t do things like replying to Emails or messages.
It is compatible with both iOS and Android, and can be preordered now for $99.
What do you think? Can the Chronos convince people that making their watches smart is worth it?
