After meeting several Pakistanis, this is my feeling:

1. There is a visceral hatred for anything Indian by the Sunni establishment which includes the Government, Military & Intelligentsia (ISI)

2. Common man (Shia or Sunni) is not bothered about India & more is more worried about bread & butter..They relish Bollywood as much as Indians do

3. There is a feeling of persecution by the Shias (along with Ahmediaya Bohras & Ismailis) who constitute anywhere between 10-20% of the population

4. There is a big divide between Punjabis and Pashtun (who live in North Western part); the Pashtuns support the Taliban, do not like the Punjabi domination and would like to separate from Pakistan.

Now we have the authentic account of the journalist who was shunted out of Pakistan!

neighbours
.one does not have to go to pak. to find out the status of non sunni sects and other minorities
US has propped up Pak for their own reasons
let us see if new govt in delhi tackles them better
