Most of us may have this problem in linking Adhaar with PAN


When the PAN was issued, people were asked to expand their initials, and the card was issued with the full name. But as many pointed out, initials were expandedonly for the purpose of getting a PAN card and a passport. However, the Income Tax department’s software has not been accepting the integration of the two cards, owing to what is primarily a faulty implementation of a government mandate.

Mostly there is mismatch of initials and names and non expansion of initials.

Passport carries full name with initials expanded.

Bank account-some carry my surname with initials , other my first name with other initials.

Pan card carries initials and first name matching aadhar card.

Some have initials at the front and others initials after the the name{ not necessarily same initials}

Who is going to clean this mess?

What about address mismatch? I experienced this problem. On enquiry with IT Department last year, the reply was the matter is being looked into. The outcome is still not known.

This week everyone is fast getting voters ID in delhi due to municipal elections.

political parties are facilitating the issue of these cards.

Political parties seem to be uncomfortable with physical ballot paper They are frightened to go electronic or digital!

Now paper trail may be available to crosscheck voting preferance

The only way is to correct the Adhaar Card details. It can be done on line and is easy. Get all the details of your PAN card.
Then correct the Adhaar card.

I got it corrected twice last week.

The Income tax department has modified the form for linking. Now you can give the name under which the Adhaar card is issued. The linking takes pace even if the name is different. I got my wife's Adhaar linked this way.

After reading your message, I tried linking my Aadhar with Pan Card and it was successfully carried out.
