Sorry the way you have felt. All the recent marriages I have attended were Brahman boys marrying foreign girls where a well known prohit did not all those rituals. However, Sri Goplan who writes here is the right member to address your quiries. About 20% of marriages are conducted strictly as per our tradition. Thus, if I were in your position what I will do was the thought going on my mind. Remember that you are my n-th cousin and hurting your feeling is the last thing I would do. I go out of the way to help people when possible.
