What doesn't cause cancer? Any long time exposure to external pollutants or essentials (sun light for example) can cause cancer. I understand, cancer cells (cells which do not die like other normal cells which go through birth, growth and death) are present in all; when the body's immune system fails or powerless to handle cancerous cells). Not all priests who spend hours in the girbagriha with sooty lamps or frequent karpoora aarti get cancer.

It is advisable to avoid long time or concentrated exposure to any trigger - radiation, sunlight, smoke, cellphone, UV (strong during grahana). Was cancer prevalent in the past - when cigars, snuff, bang and villages shrouded with smoke of homa fire?

I can not but laugh at the statement above. You are safe from cancer when you are dead. LOL
Yes know the side effects of ever day occurrences, and indulge or use them moderately. Then accept the fate.
