Which society would you call 'the most superficial'?

I am just wondering to myself -- are all civilizations and societies on earth 'made equal'? I guess not, I feel some societies are more superficial than others.

They used to say the British are the most snobbish in this sense -- that all things about them are about 'pride and prejudice'.

I think Indians by themselves, before British invasion, were those who valued the best ideals in life (truthfulness, honesty, modesty, etc) but after the British rule, a layer of hypocrisy has been imposed of them, which they have unfortunately adapted for themselves!

Being born in a middle class family that has seen much other difficulties, I am prone to thinking this way. Now I am very well off, and feel accomplished too, but my olden day experiences have moulded in me a person who will value others for how genuine they are.

What do you think? If you would like to share any valuable perceptions or your own unique experiences, please do.

I fail to understand this post.
People are people everywhere. I have lived in 3 continents and visited 2 other. There are all kinds of people all over the world. Within each country there are wast differences among the public.
You can not generalize, and be accurate at the same time.

Oh well, you are right, Prasad ji.

I have also experienced people belong to both 'camps' (of those who are 'superficial' and those who are 'genuine') both in India and America!

How did I raise this question then?! It surprises me.

I believe I do have some legit reasons for raising it, but certain things are not best for discussing in public.

Thanks for the eye-opener.

Its hard to generalize no doubt but over all I have noted the more "religious' a society the more superficial they are.
