Why astrology may be a deep science?

Many cannot accept the fact that planets and their positions can predict one's future and tell about the past. But why not? One has to be openminded. So much of precise material on the subject is not possible if it is not rooted in truth.

A planet such as mercury or Jupiter and a star such as sun need not be viewed just for their physical aspects alone. Let us say anybody seeing a human body cannot fathom the extent of intelligence leave alone the spirituality of a person. On the surface we look pretty ordinary but possess a mind that can conquer even the universe. The same could well be true of planetary bodies. We do not know what is their inner reality. We are not able to come to grips with the truth of the inner reality of even our own selves.

If there is indeed an inner reality of the planets and stars , the knowledge of astrology would be priceless. I am particularly awestruck by the coherence in the utterances of astrology which frankly I do not even find in science. That by itself is a tell tale sign that the knowledge is truthful.

Shri Ganesh is doing a stellar job by sharing his expertise in astrology.

When we die we cant even take a Mannanggatti in our hand.

So no one conquers the Universe.

Its just a dream so distant that even darkness has not reached that sulcus.

Thanks Srvana for the encouraging post. Yes astrology is my favorite topic. It really is a very very vast subject like any other topic and every time you enter, you will find something new to learn. It is really fun to explore the Zodiac and umpteenth possibilities of planetary relations

PS: also kindly get t the spelling of title corrected

Taking anything away after death and conquering universe is two different perspectives. In my opinion, a person remembered even after his death for the good deeds done during his life time has conquered many things if not the universe.

Well said Ganesh.

I have corrected the spelling error. Thank you

But why do we want to be remembered?

No one will remember any intellectual or saint or even God after a while.

Usually people remember a movie star or a famous pop singer or a porn star or someone really insanely infamous.

For example out here in Forum...Sravna is trying very hard to conquer the Universe but after a few years even forum members with dementia might remember Sunny Leone but not Sravna!LOL

Renuka,

You are talking of Kali yuga but satya yuga is exactly the opposite. But whatever the yuga, the soul registers everything.

Yes Renuka you are right . I am trying to conquer the universe. By that I mean body overcoming the effects of physical and mental force. The mind needs to conquer time for that to happen. If there are 6 steps to it I think I am more or less at step 5. I can bring many effects under control. There are still a few I still cannot. I think it is a question of time.

No. Cant' agree with you on this Renuka, If you don't believe me, just try to conduct a poll on popularity between your contestant and Mother Teresa and see the results for yourself! Again, people who really do good acts, don't do it for their desire to be remembered. It is the good deeeds they have done keeps them alive for ages to come...

Hail the next Bhagavan Sravna! You are in stage 5 as you claim.

6 opulences it takes to become a Bhagavan.

Bhagavan Bina Koi Apna Nahi
Sravna Bina Paramatma Nahi.

The word bhagavan is explained by Parasara Muni: one who is full in six opulences, who has full strength, full fame, wealth, knowledge, beauty and renunciation, is Bhagavan, or the Supreme Personality of Godhead

Oye Ganesh,

Remember when Mother T passed away..it was just around the same time a little after Princess Diana had met her tragic end.

Princess D's death overshadowed Mother T's death.

Tabloids were all about Princess D and not so much of Mother T.

Reason?

Princess D's beauty and celebrity like status.

Believe me Mother T is a big icon only in INDIA.

Rest of the world if I ask anyone...they would say "Mother T? Who?"

But everyone would remember Princess D.

Now coming to Ms Leone...that whole of India knows very well.

Dear Renuka,

Renunciation is a very tricky concept. It is when you are fully connected with everything that you are ready to "renunciate". So what you renunciate as I understand is just the external aspects only. Renunciation even happens when you are participating in wolrdly life but are able to exercise complete self control.

What do you think?

O' Sravna...
What is there to renounce when nothing is in our purse,
We can only give up that which belongs to us,
What belongs to you also belongs to me,
Yet nothing is ours...this you surely see.

O' Sravna...
Find me that which you really own,
Share it with everyone..let it be known,
What have you created that you want to claim?
Nothing my dear...nothing in your name.

O'Sravna..
Seek not to conquer the Universe,
There is nothing holy in that verse,
What is external and what is internal?
Its you has been sucked into a portal.

O' Sravna....
There is no need to conquer time,
Time is just there to rhyme with dime,
The mind actually conquers nothing,
It only deceives you into believing.

O' Sravna...
Waste not your energy on spirituality,
Its a subject not known till eternity,
Live a Life and learn to grow,
Jo Hai Sama Kal Ho Na Ho.

Sravna,

Read this....beautiful Sufi Poetry.

[h=4]Al Hallaj says about God:[/h]"Before" does not outstrip Him,
"after" does not interrupt Him
"of" does not vie with Him for precedence
"from" does not accord with Him
"to" does not join with Him
"in" does not inhabit Him
"when" does not stop Him
"if" does not consult with Him
"over" does not overshadow
Him "under" does not support Him
"opposite" does not face Him
"with" does not press Him
"behind" does not limit Him
"previous" does not display Him
"after" does not cause Him to pass away
"all" does not unite Him
"is" does not bring Him into being
"is not" does not deprive Him from Being.
Concealment does not veil Him
His pre-existence preceded time,
His being preceded non-being,
His eternity preceded limit.
If thou sayest 'when',
His existing has outstripped time;
If thou sayest 'before', before is after Him;
If thou sayest 'he', 'h' and 'e' are His creation;
If thou sayest 'how', His essence is veiled from description;
If thou sayest 'where', His being preceded space;
If thou sayest 'ipseity' (ma huwa),
His ipseity (huwiwah) is apart from things.
Other than He cannot
be qualified by two (opposite) qualities at
one time; yet With Him they do not create opposition.
He is hidden in His manifestation,
manifest in His concealing.
He is outward and inward,
near and far; and in this respect He is
removed beyond the resemblance of creation.
He acts without contact,
instructs without meeting,
guides without pointing.
Desires do not conflict with Him,
thoughts do not mingle with Him:
His essence is without qualification (takyeef),
His action without effort (takleef).
