Why do most men( right handed) wear watch in their Left hand and women in left hand?

If you’re right-handed, you probably wear a watch on your left wrist. You might consider switching, however, when you consider the impact that your watch’s battery can have on the health of your heart meridian and, ultimately, on your heart. The heart is one of the 14 major organs and systems in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each of these organs has a corresponding meridian, a line of energy flow through the body that becomes strong or weak in tandem with that body part. In healing a weakened organ, the energy of the related meridian is used both to diagnose the health of the body and as a means to begin to strengthen it.

The meridian system has been used and translated into dozens of different energy healing techniques (including energy psychology, Energy Medicine, Touch for Health, Brain Gym, and accupuncture) because the approach is so effective.
The meridians are subtle energy structures and can be very sensitive to the objects and materials that surround our bodies. Magnets and other metals, in particular, are known to affect the energy of the meridians.

Wearing any piece of jewelry for long can bring on fatigue or have the opposite effect and make the wearer over-energized. Some people are so sensitive that they have to remove earrings or other jewelry after only a few minutes, because the metal charges with their energy and begins to affect the way they feel. Glasses with metal frames can have tiny holes drilled at the end of the “arms” to discharge energy, but that can’t be done to most decorative jewelry or to watches.

Anything that crosses over a meridian is likely to affect it. 6 of the 14 meridians have paths that run down the arms and fingers, so bracelets, rings, and watches all have the potential to affect these lines of energy. Watches are especially a hazard because of their batteries and the mechanical motion, both of which have the potential to disrupt the normal flow of meridian energy.

Wear Your Watch on the Right Wrist | Suite101

Back in the day when you had to wind the watch to get it to move (keep time) the winding device was located on the right-side of the watch, most people being right-handed would wear the watch on the left are so that one could wind it with there Right-hand. With the advent of battery powered watches it now moot.

The norm for a right-handed person, in civilized society, is to wear their watch on their left wrist, this way it is out of the way of writing and other right-handed activities. Try carrying a cup of hot coffee in your dominant hand (right for right handed person) and check your watch at the same time if it is on your right wrist.
According to GQ magazine:
So for a right handed person watch should be on left wrist.
I believe the custom is to wear it on your left wrist if you’re right-handed and to wear it on your right if you’re left-handed. It just makes sense when you’re adjusting flywheels and throwing lariats, huh? Also, if you’re a righty and your watch is on the left, it’s going to be easier to set and wind (assuming you’re a nonquartz traditionalist).
Which wrist to wear your watch on

Sri.Prasad Sir

Yes, most men wear their watch on the write wrist and most women , on their left; OP suggests that men wearing watches on their write wrist is to be changed!!

Dear PJ sir,

Thank you so much for posting this..>> I will surely show this to my mother so that she will finally believe me....all these years no one believed me when I said that whenever I wore gold I felt tired and had very less energy. As a young child at a function once I removed a gold chain I was wearing and threw it away!(that made my parents real mad)

Even touching gold makes me feel tired...this the the reason why I totally dislike gold and never wear it at all.

Thanks once again for this article.
