One of the so-called-abrahamic-faith followers quote from their scriptures the following:

'Ask and it shall be given'

'If you ask anything in my name, the Father will give so that your joy may be full'

'Whenever you ask, believe that you receive them and you shall have them'

Apparently defying the Law of Karma theory.

People of that faith indeed carry anything and everything to their heavenly father in prayer, attempting to defy karma theory. There is at least one sub-sect among them who strictly avoid consulting doctor even during critical illness, their scripture advising them against excessive-righteousness notwithstanding.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

When you apply statistics, the probability of answered prayers among the people of that faith is negligibly small. Yet their perseverence and steadfastness merit appreciation. Explanation provided for un-answered prayers vary viz 'Father indeed hears prayers and answers no doubt. But answer is 'No''; 'Perhaps it is not will of the Father since every prayer ends 'may your will be done'' etc etc. Does it sound convincing!!!

The pandemic taught a great lesson. Pandemic swept lives across all people-groups and faith systems indiscriminately. Pandemic even hijacked saints without number. It saw everyone hiding inside locked doors with masked mouths regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religious affilliation, caste. Mysterious indeed.
