I have sealed the age group in the sealed envelope called Open and Closed brackets, to say i have been liberal with the maximum limits.

the answer to the question is quite obvious. You have not retired yet, u are not 65 or 95. So you don't know which one to think as a predominant contributor to your life.

A senior friend of mine says this, that city gave me education, this city gave me life.

The question is asked in a lighter sense again. You are not about to give away a fat check to either of them to think seriously about it within a day or two.

Again it depends on the day. Yesterday i was thinking about my college coz of a particular project i was involved in. Today i am speaking to my dad and the school days flood my thoughts.

:hungry:

Well...I am 44 years old.

Memories can date back from school to college or even yesterday but which do I give more importance too?

1)I disliked school cos I hate wearing any type of uniform. It feels restrictive to be dressed totally alike.

2)I liked college becos one gets to dress the way one likes!

3)In school one is yet a child or a teen..some fear is there.

4)In college ..one is a young adult..so there is more freedom.

5)But I dont give importance to school or college days..that is why I never attend any school or college reunion.

6) When I am done with something..its done. So I wont want to live in the past.

7)Memories might come back but not of any significance.

8)But most important is NOW! RIGHT NOW! And I mean NOW!

both school and college develop and damage a person in various ways.

it all depends on the mess you have landed into at a particular point of time to decide who was the culprit school or college fellows

I still have Horror stories of my school/college days which haunt me and give me nightmares/lol

it is wise not to think of dead past, not live in the past and take life as it comes wherever you are .

this is true of even retired types.

they get nostalgic and start remembering old times

they make others around them sick telling them old stories of the dead past.

thats why youngsters avoid old men who cannot help talking of ancient times

LOL!

Actually Krish ji...its the dead past that keeps an oldie alive becos for an oldie the future means death!

A young person will talk about the future..when I grow up and fall in love..I want to do this..I want to earn this much..I want to drive this car..I want to marry a good looking person etc..becos he is young..he has a future.

What can an oldie talk about besides the dead past? He is unsure if he has a future.

He fears that tomorrow may never come and holds on tightly to the past.

senior citizens start talking about the past when they are 58-60yrs when most have 30 years plus to live.

I cannot accept people writing themselves off like this and hanging up

these guys/gals can still do a lot with their lives if they only try.

all this insecurities about the future are misplaced.

they require a kick on their backs to make them move and say , I will earn more after retirement , drive larger cars, buy bigger bungalow and .....so on

why not?

This sums up my philosophy of living

Namaste,

To me, my school days are the most important -- they leave a pleasant imprint as I think of those long-lost simpleton friends of mine, who were with me from the young age of 13 to the age of 17. Many times I have read of the Gurukula of Sri Krishna with Sudhama (Kuchela) at Sage Sandeepini's ashrama - it leaves me with a pleasant imagination to read of such Gurukul stories. To me, the childhood friends of young age at school have left me with a lasting memory of them like Sri Krishna's pleasant Gurukula and I wish I get to know them all now... I search for them everytime at facebook, but can't find any of them.. if I have something to ask for genuinely to god, I would ask him to reveal to me how to find them! :)

Today It is 14th nov 2014.I read on interesting article on aging in Mint

When India talks of demographic dividend they talk of having more youngsters.

what they leave unsaid is that in 15 years india will have120 million senior citizens..

these cannot fathom their increased lifespan the way youngsters to see how tall he is becoming

the way we invest in child education ,we need to invest in reskilling seniors so that they do not become redundant.

with increasing lifespans, ,the mindset that senior citizen should retire at 60-65 is now of not much value.

instead, reskilling, ,keeping body and mind active by taking interest in everything in life can put of aging and seniors can control their destiny and live longer say 90 or

even hundred.

some scientists believe aging is a disease and it can be put off . lot of money is being spent on biomedical research to enable people to live longer.

work is being done on bodys immune system to fight aging..efforts are being made to check rate of mortality and , find a solution to age related diseases.

with all this developments our generation can very well hope to live to be a centenarian
