இது தொடர்பாக கடலூர் மாவட்ட அரசு தலைமை மருத்துவமனை இணை இயக்குநர் வித்யாசங்கர் கூறும்போது, “இடது கை பழக்கம் பிறப்பிலேயே சிலருக்கு ஏற்படுகிறது. பெருமூளை, சிறுமூளை மற்றும் நீள்வளைய மைய விழையம் (மெடுல்லா ஆப்லங்கட்டா) என மூன்று பகுதிகளை மனித மூளை கொண்டுள்ளது. இதில் பெருமூளை இரண்டு அரைக்கோள வடிவில் உள்ளது. பெரும்பாலானோருக்கு இடதுபக்க அரைக்கோளம் சற்று மேலோங்கியதாக இருக்கும். இதனால் அவர்களுக்கு வலதுபக்க உறுப்புகள் சிறப்பாக செயல்படும். ஒரு சிலருக்கு வலதுபக்க அரைக்கோளம் மேலோங்கி இருப்பதால் இடதுபக்க பழக்கம் ஏற்படுகிறது. இப்படி இயற்கையாக அமைந்ததை மாற்ற முயற்சித்தால் அவர்களது கை எழுத்து சிதைவதுடன், பின்னாளில் சிக்கல்களை சந்திக்க நேரிடும்” என்றார்.
