It is about following the advice of elders.

???? ?????????? ??? ???? - ???? ????????

Dear PJ ji,

Interesting! Thanks for the above clarification!

For all enthusiastic member who participated in this thread either for discussing proverbs or for discussing eeyam, I would like to offer another proverb for today's thought:

சேற்றில் கல் எரிந்தால் சேற்றுதண்ணி தன் மேலதான் தெறிக்கும்.

Also,

There is an equivalent in colloquial Tamil:

மல்லாந்து படுத்து எச்சில் துப்பாதே! :nono:

Is there anything for 'அடாவடி' that is 'வாடிக்கை' for some?

Is there any (colloquial Tamil equivalent) for 'பல நாள் திருடன் ஒருநாள் அகப்படுவான்'?

Is there anything that means "

Is there anything to mean, "அடுத்தவன் வாயால் பேசாதே"?

Moral of the day: Pandavas vs. Kauravas

It is said Pandavas were only 5 in number whereas KAURAVAS were an impressive 100!!

That is, in DWAPARA YUGA! Imagine the ratio in Kali yuga!!!

*Sometimes people are honest without knowing it*. Their antharyami devata makes them "admit it"!

For example, one (in)famous thread here claims in its title, "Think for your own safety while reading this, if not (and you start trusting its author), you will get buried in the quicksand of hatred, jealousy, vanity and bigotry".
This is how truth operates! :amen:

Some forum thoughts for today (from experience):

1. Why offend others' sentiments unnecessarily? For example, the popular SriVaishnava (and popular Hindu) view is to regard Pandavas, Smt. Sita Devi, and Sri Rama and SV's acharyas (namely Ramanujacharyar) in high regard. Why say things like claiming Pandavas are wicked, Sita devi a fool, Sri Rama incapable, Ravana great and Ramanujacharya a hypocrite? One who does these things should expect the same from others when it comes to one's own faith.

2. Success: Maybe you are a great success in life. But why claim it over and over and over again? Does it imply others have not had their share of success?

3. Why support bullies and harassers? If I were a genuine person, and I see Mr.X insulting Mrs.Y unnecessarily, I would avoid being 'friends' with Mr.X.

4. Why dominate and go on and on and on leaving little choice for others to contribute?

5. Why take on the idea that others should be only my friends (Jalras)? Why emphasize on being 'famous' always?

6. Why imply in every opportunity that you are the only one who is broad-minded, having humane values? Why, even for petty things, imply others are 'narrow-minded', perhaps even 'wicked'?

The Bottomline: We all bring our own share of unique experiences, behavior, emotions, and knowledge to the forum. And we all have the rights to exist with our own unique perception of the things as they are. There is no point in explicitly taunting others. If we want others to 'look up' to us, that can only happen by way of love, friendship, co-operation and harmony. If you want to make it happen through any of jealousy, hatred, bigotry or vanity, then you are a terrorist!

Dear Smt JR Madam

There are perverted members ( both Men and Women ) in this forum, they post nagging replies, see only mistakes in others' thread, criticize other beliefs, want to rule over other members, support like minded bullies, and more.

Stop replying to them and unsubscribe from replies to your thread, do not read their op unless the subject is interesting, do not engage in any conversation either privately or by posts

Please just ignore them, and carry on your vision to improve this great Forum.

Learn from very highly learned members, and give them respect .

Continuation of the last post!

And always write (type) very politely. :typing:

Example:

THIS IS AN IRRELEVANT To OP as you always do it.

Who are you to question that and do you mean to say that ALL MY THREADS I START IS ALREADY WRIITTEN BY SOMEONE ELSE ?

I UNDERSTAND THAT SOME OLD WOMAN WHO HAVE CROSSED 60 or 65 , have abnormal mental condition due to the changes happening in their Physical condition, but they are not this extreme or irrelevant .

No panic button, if the abuses have to be 'in tact' in forum !!

BTW, it is rather strange that some people can't find out the values of X and Y!! :D
