Krish Ji,
Your posting takes my memory back to my tenure at Delhi. Have seen these U.S. bikes with Indian builtbody used as transport means at Delhi by Sardar Ji brothers.

We are known for making best use of available things to ouradvantage.
As for Bullet, the idling sound is part of its plus.
Once, Defence and Police Departments used this Brand for their bike requirements.

now ,the recent trend is e rickshaws . light weight battery operated auto lookalikes built around 125 cc mobikes , these are environment friendly . these are meant for last mile journey and act as feeders to metros .
these cost 70-80 thousands and give 70-80 km a day on fully charged batteries , they require no licence or registration. over a lakh are plying in delhi . they operate on share basis ,take 4 passengers and charge 5 rs for 3-4 km
. they have become very popular and are replacing regular autos as means of cheap transport.

.

125 cc No licence and no registration….!! Are you sure…? In case of traffic rules violations… how are they dealt with?
Here in Chennai even for 50cc mopeds Licence and Registration mandatory.

Police is very unhappy that there are unable to book them or collect bribes. the matter has gone to court . delhi chief secretary is setting up a committee to resolve issues relating to registration and control .involving all the stakeholders. these are eco friendly. plus this has given employment to a lakh school dropouts . most make 700 rs a day working from 7am to 10 pm and give rs300 a day to rent these from owners who are buying them by the dozen due to low cost

We worship all the tools, machines, implements, devices, books, note books, pen, scale, other reading materials, even bureau, clock, etc Theses things are cleaned neatly, smeared with turmeric powder, sandalwoodpaste and kumkum tilak on eachitem. A pooja is performed in most ofthe Factories, commercial establishments, business houses as Ayuda Puja.

But as reported, it is strange that people of this place dedicated temple for the bike ‘Bullet’ and worshipped as 'A motorbike God' which is a matter of belief!!
