‘பெண்பார்த்தல் ‘ SEEING THE GIRL:
In Brahmin Community, this was a Very Important Occasion;
THIS WAS IN EARLIER பெண்பார்த்தல் .Before 1970-75 . I don’t know how this is done nowadays..
After Horoscope Matching only , this function Happens.
Every boy, with Lots of expectation about the girl whom he is going to see probably for the first time Thrilled; So also every girl with lots of expectations sees the Boy..
Traditionally Rava Kesari called SOJJI, and Bajji are offered to Boys side Parents..
Probably Sojji is offered to boy so that he never opens his mouth..
Girls Mother usually tells, that the Girl only Prepared these items including Coffee which the girl brings to offer to boys side..
In those days before 1970-1975, Girl used to sit on the Floor, on a mat, and all others sits on a Sofa or Chairs..
Some elderly Maami’s usually watch the boy all the time, so that later on she can exactly
tell girls side the Gunas of the BOY!! They have that enormous ability.
Girls very seldom lift their face or ask questions, all the talking are done by both side Parents only..
இந்த பெண் தான் , கல்யாணமானபுரம், எப்படி எப்படி மாறுவான்னு எந்த பையனுக்கும் தெரியாது..
Finally the boy’s side Parents will tell, கடுதாசி போடறேன், என்று சொல்வார்கள்.
In those days very few homes had even Land Telephone connection..
Not easy to get BSNL Land line in those days,
படுத்துவான் .. இப்போ சாமி யா பார்த்து யாரும் BSNL பக்கமே போறதில்லே..
For getting Black and White TV, there was no option,
Even buying Dyanora Black and White TV was a herculean task..
Coming back to ‘பெண்பார்த்தல் ‘,Most boys knew very well, if he says ‘ no’ to the First Girl whom he sees, he may not get many more chances to see another Girl..
So ,கொஞ்சம் பிகு பன்னி, அல்ட்டிண்டு , சரின்னு சொல்லுவான் ..
இது தான் ஒரு கணவன் , மனைவியின் , வாழ்க்கையின் ஆரம்பம் ..
