"We remain Madamji ever at your feet" declared congressman H.Vasanthakumar owner of Vasanth & Co and Vasanth TV in his full page colour advertisement in the front page "The Hindu" Delhi Edition on Jan 1, 2012. It is a shame that degeneration of India's premier newspaper "The Hindu" seems to be complete now. The Wall Street Journal wrote on Monday (Jan,2,2012) about the effusive ad that appeared as a full-page on the front of the New Delhi edition of the paper on Jan. 1.

However the editor of "The Hindu" newspaper described an ad extolling Congress Party leader Sonia Gandhi as “atrocious” and said that in future it would not carry such ads on the front.
