Hi Fellow Tam Brahms
I have an ebook that has been published on Amazon. The first review which has been unsolicited is given at the end of this message.
1. I am organizing a free download of my book 'Let It Be' from the Amazon website for a limited time window of 48 hours from noon on Saturday , 11 Jan to noon on Monday , 13 Jan 2014 ( IST ) . The book can be downloaded from Amazon , search for Let It Be by R Sundaram .
I cant directly post the links because the Bulletin Board does not allow me - I am a newbie on this site.
2. The underlying theme is the rotten governance delivered by the various arms of the State in India. The story uses the electricity system as the metaphor to illustrate the deep set rot - but the military industrial complex, the Customs and Municipality employees ...even the Judiciary are exposed for what they are !
The main target segment are the Tamil Brahmins but, rather than spoil the fun please download it, read it and indentify the characters !
3. I am emailing this well in advance so, you can tell your friends, especially those who have been at the receiving end of the corrupt and discriminatory practices in our glorious, Indian 'system' to also download it.
4. Steps to download, you will need to :
(a) have to open a AMAZON account (30 second process) and free ,
(b) Download a Kindle reader app (40 Mb) for your Windows or Linux system,
(c) Provide some name and address (doesn't have to be real). You will NOT be asked for a credit/debt card number)
Cheers ,
R Sundaram
Review : A book about how the ordinary Indian (say like RK Laxman's Common Man) perceives our country day in and day out, a mirror of the shenanigans of our political classes. The author has so to say taken a few years of newspaper clippings and woven a really neat story which makes you laugh, wince , empathise and get very very angry at the fiction which is not very far from the reality. I just had to finish the book from cover to cover and it made my day, and yes, it made me sad as to the state of affairs we live in. Look forward to another masterpiece by the author! A fantastic first book
