Wow! Hopefully smart toothbrushes may save visits to the dentists!

In an event predominantly meant for smartphones, Oral-B decided to change the norm by announcing their new toothbrush which has the capability to track exactly where you are brushing. During the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Oral-B introduced it smart toothbrush dubbed the B-Genius.
The toothbrush has a built in accelerometer which keeps track of the angle at you are brushing while the front facing camera in your phone tracks the position of the toothbrush in your dentures via an app. While you brush your teeth, the app points out the areas you have cleaned as well as the spots you have not cleaned.
Your smartphone and the toothbrush connect via Bluetooth, and the app enables a user to create their profile based on personal information which may include the sensitivity of your teeth. For the app to work effectively, the phone must be placed at eye level. When the app recognizes your face, a green circle appears on the screen and so does a line beneath the circle to indicate the phone is at a suitable level. With both green lights, you can press the start button and commence brushing.
Like other Oral-B smart toothbrushes, the B-Genius comes with pressure sensors which are meant to regulate how strongly you brush your teeth as well as a timer to make sure you clean for the minimum recommended time of two minutes.
The app utilizes a six-part diagram which represents your upper and lower left, middle and right section of your mouth. As you scrub your teeth, a blue panel gradually fades away as the app determines whether your teeth have been cleaned thoroughly. Once you are done with the brushing, the ap provides an analysis of your brushing technique as well as its grading.
