No surprise. Now a days an ordinary degree in India could not fetch one a decent job. Moreover people are crazy about Government assignment owing to the security it provides. A qualified person can always find his way up once is inducted into the system. That's the main reason people are trying everything out to get into any Govt. Job.

Brahmins are unfit for physical work.

Most have reasonably good brains and can easily collect one or two degrees.

but most of them want to be wage earners not show any enterprise or risk taking capability.

In a speculative economy, it is foolish to look for 9 to 5 jobs.

Find many avenues for speculation and try your hand in parallel in some of them.

Some definitely will be winners.

Now job opportunities are more in all fields, let alone State and Central Govt. jobs - both technical and non-technical. Qualification is essential. Instead of getting qualified in one area say administrative or technical, it is useful if education covers both areas and switching over from one field to another is possible.

Start ups generate huge opportunities..Unfortunately TB's are unable to capitalize that as much as Marwaris, Gujjus and Punjus...The earlier we realize the better for us...But we should be ready for business failures and our folks should take it in their stride..May be out of 10 businesses only 1 succeeds...But it is worth the effort if we do proper planning

My request to all TBs is start doing what you are best at... start learning Vedas and Mantras. Our Vadhyars and koil archakars earns much more than what a normal white collar TB normally does. If there is a short supply of commodity it is in this field. better luck...

From our colleges, we are producing muggup technical persons and not innovative persons. Supply is more than demand. For the post of Khalasi in railways, Engg graduates are competing.but even then only a few are getting selected. Moreover it is in govt jobs only , one can earn without doing much work, earn pay commissions, Dearness allowances , roam freely under the banner of trade unionists etc etc and in many departments kimbalams also Hence the craze .
