I was awaiting this response . Lots of ladies are thronging the electric crematoriums .families with single child -daughter , they are also performing the last rites ,. Due to sensitivity of the issue , I refrain from commenting on this . pass. perhaps a good social change

Out here women are allowed at any type of crematorium..in fact when my grandmum passed away some 2 years ago it was me who placed all the ghee on the funeral pyre making it ready for my uncle to light it.(my grandmum wanted a traditional cremation)

BTW out here I know a person who had performed her fathers last rites..its no big deal these days..some people just take the body to the electric crematorium and say their own prayers and place the body in and thats it.

Not everyone is too traditional after all when we are dead and gone what really matters..so its better to train our mind to accept a simple sans rituals send of..if the mind is conditioned to think logically there is no problem after all in other cultures males are not even needed for any last rite and the dead are buried and there is no problems too.

Its only the Hindu rites and rituals that give too much importance to males..logically we can do away with some dumb rites!

BTW just imagine I am "reformed" after some electroconvulsive therapy and I become a conservative female!ha ha ha...No way man!I cant ever imagine that..life will be so boring..I love my crazy outrageous self.
